Belligerent malcontents Tommy (Thomas Edward Seymour) and Rye (Philip Guerette) have mediocre jobs and are struggling at the local community college. But their problems really start when a brawl over a girl awakens an evil force, which soon drives everyone in town to perform violent, destructive acts. Fortunately, the College Prophets, a band of fighters with a long history, is on hand to try and save the day in this cult action-horror film.

BAUHAUS
Going to Bauhaus tonight at the Wiltern theatre in L.A. I am going with two CPA'S. Actually they are the accountants for Bauhaus. One of them is my neighbor. What a trip! Going to see them with two people who had never heard any of the music untill I said something about Peter Murphy and Bauhaus to one of them. Actually that I had turned my daughter onto Murphy and Bauhaus when she was nine. She now has a lot of cd's. Perhaps white eyelet poof skirt is the thing to wear tonight. Just to be a little different from the crowd.
They look like accountants too. What a trip!

Large yellow glass finials any idea??

I have had two of these very large finials for years now. They each weigh almost 10 lbs each and measure 22 inches tall. Inside is hollow. Thickness of glass at base is just under 1 inche. There are no marks or signatures. I have been trying to find out what they are for a while now. Any ideas out there?

Paia and Back & CHOCOLATE BOMBS
The Great Wall of Paia
Q Ball and the Girls
Judy and Sharon at Kanaha
I returned to Maui for The Crossing. I was there for two weeks. The weather and the swells were not cooperating. I baked all kinds of treats for the compound. The biggest hit was , as they were coined "Chocolate Bombs" . I needed to return home for Betty's birthday. She is now 11 years old. I returned on a friday and the following Monday Q Ball made The Crossing. I missed it! But I am going back again soon!!
Here is the recipe.
"CHOCOLATE BOMBS"
8 oz semi sweet baking chocolate
1 cup heavy whipping cream
4 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
Whipped cream for garnish
Place broken up chocolate in double boiler. Heat water to boiling then reduce heat to low. Don’t over heat the chocolate. This can effect the flavor of the chocolate. Also take care to not get any water into the melted or melting chocolate. If this happens you will need to add a small amount of shorting to the chocolate to return it to a workable state.
Stir until all chocolate is melted.
Gradually add whipping cream stir with wire whisk until smooth. Remove from heat.
Beat egg yolks in a large separate bowl with a wire whisk. Gradually stir in about ¼ of the chocolate cream mixture. Add this to the remaining chocolate mixture.Stirring constantly.Stir in vanilla.
Pour or spoon into individual serving cups or what ever you want . Refrigerate until set. Usually a few hours. Garnish with whipped cream and yummy!
I use “Bakers” Chocolate from Safeway only $3-4 and the flavor is good. Also when I make this I ALWAYS double the recipe so there is a lot more of it to eat.

Maui was great + newest horror film
Of course!! it was. Paia is my favorite place on Maui. I am returing to at the end od the month. I am going for "THE CROSSING" of Q ball and the Creme Brulee from Maui to Molokai. The time window is about 7 days. Conditions change day to day. The channel is one of the most dangerous in the world. Safety first.
Italian Horror Film director Dario Argento. His newest film "the card player" He does great stuff.
Owen Wilson, don't tell ANYONE about the best little town on Maui. Sneaking out of Nellys billard room. You must have liked it there too. It is a great place just don't tell to many people. Don't want to ruin it.

Back In Paia
Arrived in Maui yesterday!!! Went to the beach today with Q Ball, his mom Judy and Peso. Peso loves to chase coconuts into the waves. He got a little excited and got a hold of Judy's arm instead of the coconut. She is now at the ER getting the gash cleaned out and stitched.
Q has a new dune buggy wheel chair. He can go on the sand all the way to the water.
I am going to go and watch him sail while I am here. He and Jaques and Richard are planning a trip to Molokai mid September. Yowzaa!!
Oh yeah, my husband took the kids to Memphis and then to NY while I am in Paia!!!!!
I am going back to the beach. Baldwin sounds just about right.

Recent Horror Films
"Tale of Two Sisters" Japanese with English subtitles.
There are a couple of scenes that are really scary. GREAT MOVIE LOVED IT LOVED IT!!****
"The Tenant" Roman Polanski Directed and Starred. ***
"Seven Days to Live" Amanda Plummer ***
There were also a large number of films that I could not stand for five minutes. Not because of content. Because of production values and acting. When they look like and sound like porn films. Not that they are porn. But the look and feel of them can't take it.

Fun With Color
Cashmere that I spun last year and dyed this week. Turned out OK, I think. I am going to knit up a swatch to really see what it looks like. Happy FOURTH!!!

Keep going
I don't know why. But, I have started to hand dye some of my cashmere that I spun last year. I don't know why. But when ever I dye anything I just can't get rubber gloves on. Instant gratification I guess. That leaves me with dyed hands for about a week. Good thing I am not one of the ladies that has her nails done! Can't even imagine.
OK how stupid can I be? Driving in Los Angeles at 5:00PM on the freeways!! I know! I will take the back roads from Encino to West Hollywood. I had the right idea. I made the wrong turn onto Mulholland. Did you know that it made a complete circle. RIGHT BACK TO WHERE I STARTED!!!. Trying it again Thursday. But this time at 11:00AM. So I can go the way I know to and not get lost in rush hour madness.

New Horror Film
Deathwatch (2002) Darn Good. Jamie Bell, Hugo Speer, Laurence Fox, Andy Serkis and Matthew Rhys play English soldiers stuck in enemy territory in this spooky World War II thriller. Desperate to stay unseen, they bunk out in an abandoned German hideout, where slowly, one by one, they're picked off by an otherworldly enemy they can't identify. For the rest of them to get out alive, they must understand what they're up against so they can vanquish it before it conquers them.

Recent Horror Films
When a Stranger Calls (1979) Carol Kane , Still a good movie
God Told Me To (1976) Andy Kauffman had a bit part, no lines, he was a policeman who suddenly shoots people. I had to rewind the film to confirm that it was Andy.
