Keep going

I don't know why. But, I have started to hand dye some of my cashmere that I spun last year. I don't know why. But when ever I dye anything I just can't get rubber gloves on. Instant gratification I guess. That leaves me with dyed hands for about a week. Good thing I am not one of the ladies that has her nails done! Can't even imagine.

OK how stupid can I be? Driving in Los Angeles at 5:00PM on the freeways!! I know! I will take the back roads from Encino to West Hollywood. I had the right idea. I made the wrong turn onto Mulholland. Did you know that it made a complete circle. RIGHT BACK TO WHERE I STARTED!!!. Trying it again Thursday. But this time at 11:00AM. So I can go the way I know to and not get lost in rush hour madness.

New Horror Film

Deathwatch (2002) Darn Good. Jamie Bell, Hugo Speer, Laurence Fox, Andy Serkis and Matthew Rhys play English soldiers stuck in enemy territory in this spooky World War II thriller. Desperate to stay unseen, they bunk out in an abandoned German hideout, where slowly, one by one, they're picked off by an otherworldly enemy they can't identify. For the rest of them to get out alive, they must understand what they're up against so they can vanquish it before it conquers them.

Collaborative Jam

Home made jam is soooooo easy! I remember my mom and grandmother made it when I was little. So yummy. Well since the bumper crop of strawberries this year, today I will be making strawberry jam. Actually freezer jam. No need to do all that canning business.

Summer School

Why? I ask you, do the kids want to go to summer school? I sign them up. Pay a "mandatory donation" of $350. per kid. Second day of summer school and they are not there! I know I know it is "my responsibility" to get them there. Over the last two summers they went and it was the biggest waste of time!!!!! I always say never again. Well at least I can get my money back. I have to request it prior to one week after classes start. And HEY it is day two.

HMMMMMM...........$700 back to me HMMMMMMM...........what to do what to do.

Beached

Jelly fish have invaded the local beaches. I took my daughter and two of her friends to the beach yesterday. BIG jelly fish! No water time. But....I found some great rocks and an amazing, wonderful and huge log of drift wood. It is 9 feet tall. I am sure I will use it somewhere in the house. It is way too cool.

Prophecy IV Uprising . Next movie Soft For Digging.

Prophecy - not to bad. Great production quality story was good too. B

Soft for digging - I had to stop organizing J.L. and actually pay attention to it. One word spoken in the first 30 minutes. A total of 6 words in the first hour. Near the end 5 sentences. Really really liked it. Iffy on production quality however the over all quality/mood of the film visually makes it work. Pretty damn good! A

School's Out For Summer

Last day of school. Daughter "graduated" from elementary school. We went and had ribs afterword. Continuing in Jennifer Land today since 5:PM it is now 8:05PM. Taking a break to write a little down. Found a full set of porcelain dishes today. Setting for 8 with serving pieces. Syracuse Old Ivory, Sherwood is the pattern name. All were unused. I payed $10.00. For them. Not too bad.


I am off to take a pic of Jennifer Land so you REALLY GET IT! My brain has too many ideas for my life. I really am trying to get it under control.

Well there is no leak in the pond!! Yipee. The water fall is taking on a great shape. There will be pics soon. Today's Horror film FREAKS 1943. Viewing will occur while working in Jennifer Land.

ARGGGGHHH!

I think I fu***ked up my pond. I dropped a rock and I think I made a leak in the liner. If there is still water coming out in the morning I am going to scrap the whole thing. God I suck! House is a mess didn't finish my stuff. Oh boy I got to drive a bunch of teenage boys around today too!! Brains where are they? Do they come back? Good night

Saturday to do

Work on the pond and water fall.

Continue working on studio aka garage Jennifer Land as coined by a neighbourhood kid. I built them a quarter pipe skateboarding ramp. Well for my son too. It was huge! I have tried and tried to get the chaos under control. Then a little itch of an idea moves up into my head and I cannot stop. I have to figure it out . How do you make it how does it work. Half of it is just doing it. Trial and error a lot. Doint these things makes me feel that I have a purpose.

Doubt and self loathing. What is the point anyway? They don't really get me anywhere do they. Exaustion is where I get to most of the time.

I am so pooped. Still the day after and want day to be done. Blowing off daughters swim practice was a really great thing! Horror movie watched in the past two days. Night Flyer & The Suckling.

Current projects

Building patio cover aka arbor. Copper pipe and fabric. Just finished staining the concrete. Ripped out two large hibiscus trees. White flies SUCK!!!! Refinshed table for out side. Made new legs out of oak for kitchen table. Made three PIECED quilts for the school auction NEVER EVER AGAIN. Although they were pretty cool. Right now I am going back out side to continue working on the waterfall/fountain/pond that I am building in the back. Using cinder block as structure, pond liner, lots of rock called three rivers. its great rock but geez heavy. I will post a pick when I finish. you will see the back yard in full glory!! ALL of this in the last two months. This is just some of the things from then.

I need you to put laundry away. I can wash it and fold it and get any kind of stain out. I just can’t put it away. Organize my house and workshop. I can’t do that either. I can cut you semi precious stones and make you jewelry. Listen when you cry and just hold you and say “ I know. It will all be fine”.

Cakes. Did this for about two years in my little kitchen with one oven. All from scratch. Word of mouth is what was going on. Prices started at $1,200 for a large cake. Very picky about cakes. Could never find a cake that was great looking AND you could eat. I figured it out. Husband then decided it was “too event specific”. I had to be out of the house and he had to be with kids. “OH MY GOD BECKY”.
